Last Wednesday at 3:00am I woke up by a bug sitting on my ear. I jumped up, adrenaline flowing, I swiped at the bug and assumed that it was knocked off. I lain back down and heard and felt the bug IN MY EAR!!!! IN!!!! Crawling around in MY ear. I could hear and feel it moving around. I slapped Ben to wake up and we ran into the bathroom to see what we could do. Tweezers--nope. Ben couldn't even see it. Blowing my ears--nope. Medicine syringe with rubbing alcohol to flush the DAMN thing out--WORKED!! Ben was able to flush him out enough to grab it with tweezers. The bug was about an inch long. STUPID BOX ELDER!!!! THEY'RE TAKING OVER THE WORLD!! The adrenaline rush cost me 2 hours of precious sleep and nightmares galore. I sleep with cotton in my ears. YUK!!

Oh my goodness! I hate Box Elder Bugs, they are everywhere around here. I would also sleep with cotton balls in my ears if that happened to me. I am just amazed that such a huge bug was able to crawl into your ear!

Wow girl! That is not fun. I once woke up with a bug on my face, and now I sleep with the cover all the way up to my eyes...seriously. This will scar you for life!!
no WAY!!!!! That freaks me out, I can't believe it was all up in your ear! Those things take over the house in the spring.
That is one of the freakiest things I have ever heard, you will be freaked out for a long time. Maybe when you are senial you will scream about bugs in your ears!

As if I'm not paranoid enough-now I'm going to worry about this! That is horrible. Really. I mean-how are you supposed to go on sleeping peacefully ever again?!!!! So so sorry. Good luck tonight. Does an exterminator get rid of these things? I've never seen them before!
Oh my gosh!!!! We have those STUPID bugs all over in our windows. I don't think I am going to be able to sleep now!! I think I would have woken up the whole house screaming.

One word...earcuff! Like earmuff but they just cuff your ear. I am sure you could sleep with them. I have a fear of this happening to me...but with a spider. I am so sorry and grossed out!
Wow, I can't even imagine that. I am so sorry and I'm glad you got it out. I hate box elder bugs too.
